Last night (Thursday 18/9/08) was the annual ‘Great British Pub Awards’. This prestigious event took place in the ‘Hilton, Park Lane, London’ and was attended by over a thousand hopefuls.

A fun filled evening was had by all with a four course meal entertainment by none other than ‘Hugh Dennis’, and a host of other side lines from sponsors ect with of course special thanks to the main host sponsors of ‘Morning Advertiser’.

We would like to congratulate Ed & Jill Loftus from the Park Hotel in Birkdale for achieving the award of the best cellar in the North-West - on chatting with Ed & Jill there comments were very humble saying that they could’nt believe it and that they worked long and hard to make sure all there beers went out to perfection but the award was an honour and the night was very enjoyable!
